The 2023 Yamaha Tenere 700 has been given a good dose of technology, with features that align with the incoming World Raid variant.
For the new model year, the base Yamaha Tenere 700 will get a new 5-inch TFT display that is complete with smartphone connectivity. Using Bluetooth, owners can display text messages, incoming calls, and emails on the display, while also viewing key bike data via the smartphone app.
UPDATE: The Australian-spec Yamaha Tenere 700 will not receive these updates. Click here for more information.
Also new for 2023 is three-mode ABS, which builds on the previous Tenere’s simple On/Off setup. The bike now gives riders a third option to turn ABS off at the rear wheel only.
Other updates include the option to fit a quickshifter, a redesigned front brake lever, a new USB socket, and LED indicators.
Most of these features were announced for the new World Raid variant, which is expected to arrive in early 2023. However, the World Raid version adds a 23-litre tank, extra suspension travel, an Öhlins steering damper, and a taller windshield, among other features.
A third variant – the Rally Edition – will be available in Europe, however that version has previously not been made available for the Australian market. It is unclear if that will be the case with the 2023 models.
Pricing and availability is yet to be announced.
