After recently announcing full details of its new 2022 Yamaha WR250F, Yamaha has released a quick teaser clip of the heavily updated enduro model’s features and benefits.
Taking its cue from the Yamaha YZ250 motocrosser, the latest instalment of the long-serving WR250F features updates to its engine, chassis and equipment.
The 249cc single-cylinder engine is now said to develop more high-to-midrange power courtesy of an improved air intake, wider intake port, redesigned exhaust cam profile and revised ECU settings. Then there are the two new fuel maps, reduced vibration, and an improved gearbox said to deliver smoother changes.
The bike’s aluminium bilateral frame has been tweaked to match the engine improvements while the front brake and KYB suspensions settings have all been revised too, while other notable features include new Dunlop Geomax E91 knobbies, a new multifunction meter, a YZ-spec handlebar, a new exhaust heat shield and a stronger muffler bracket.
The bike comes with a free off-road kit for competition use and will hit Aussie dealerships in December priced from $14,899 ride away.
The 2022 Yamaha WR450F continues apart from new graphics, priced from $16,499 ride away.
