An extreme version of the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory was unveiled to the public at the inaugural Aprilia All Stars day in Mugello last week.
The X variant tops the standard bike’s 217hp (162kW) with 225hp (168kW) and a weight of just 165kg.
The track-only X was created to mark the 10th anniversary of the RSV project but don't get too excited -- there are only 10 versions and they're already gone.
Aprilia says both machines “bear witness to the extraordinary bond between the Aprilia product and its racing department”.
That racing department was out in force, along with around 10,000 Aprilia fans.
The Aprilia Racing Team Gresini took to the track on the new 2019 RS-GP machines. The Moto GP bikes made their début two weeks ago in Qatar ridden by Andrea Iannone and Bradley Smith, who were the same riders to unveil the new Aprilia RSV4 versions.
Aprilia then rolled out a series of past champions including Max Biaggi, Loris Capirossi, Manuel Poggiali, Alex Gramigni and Roberto Locatelli.
