WP's suspension development is on track with the launch of the Supertrax shock absorber.
Based on work done with factory teams, the new shock detects the speed of the spring while rebounding and adjusts the oil bypass flow accordingly. The application of the bypass can be adjusted using a TXN adjuster.
The patented technology has now been released in the WP Xact Pro 8950 and Xplor Pro 8950 rear shocks.

WP says the new technology enables, for the first time in a serial-production rear suspension unit, adjustment of the rebound characteristics for high-speed damping situations.
The front end is supported with WP Xact Pro 7548 and Xplor Pro 7548 forks.
These forks use 'cone valve' technology to deliver 'virtually unlimited damping performance'.

Finally, the Xact Pro 7440 AER forks combine the cone valve damping with an AER spring setup, which is said to save up to 1kg and "is developed for maximum possible performance", according to WP.
All of the WP forks above operate without shims, avoiding the problem of damping losses due to bent shims.
The latest WP suspension components are also coated with a new chromium surface on the inner tubes to minimise friction.
