An updated WP XPLOR fork cartridge will give KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas owners the opportunity to improve the suspension capabilities of their machines.
The new WP Xplor Pro 6500 cartridge is now available to the off-road public, and offers a number of upgrades over the standard components.
Heading the list is improved feedback from the terrain, a pressurized system that reduces cavitation risk with no damping loss, and extreme longevity due to use of high-quality materials. The new cartridge also allows full external adjustability and a fully variable spring preload.

The new cartridge has been developed from WP and KTM’s unprecedented success in motorsports, and combines premium performance upgrades with unparalleled accessibility. The built-in WP closed-cartridge technology, with its pressurized compartments, guarantees a consistent damping performance and prevents loss of damping on repeated shots.
WP is owned by KTM and the WP Xplor Pro 6500 cartridge will be available for enduro and off-road models that fall under the Austrian brand’s watch.
Compatible models include the EXC (150, 250, 300), EXC-F (250, 350, 450, 500), XC-W (150, 250, 300) and XCF-W (250, 500) ranges from 2017 onwards, as well as the Husqvarna TE (150, 250, 300) and FE (250, 350, 450, 501) ranges from 2017 onwards. Additionally, the new 2021 Gas Gas EC (250, 300) and EC-F (250, 350) ranges are also compatible.
The WP Xplor Pro 6500 cartridge was developed to be easily added to a machine using the standard fork rods. The new cartridge will be available from mid-December 2021 with an RRP of $1950AUD.
