Throw you name into the motocross, enduro and moto trials mixWe all know that motorcycle racing is an individual sport for 99 percent of the time, so that's probably why riders get such a hit out of representing their country when the opportunity arises.
And it even can make normally tetchy people relax and embrace mateship - just look at Lleyton Hewitt in the Davis Cup.
I'm not saying that our motorcycle racers are like that, but I can confirm Motorcycling Australia is now accepting applications from those who would like to represent Australia in the following 2009 teams' events:
" Trial des Nations (TdN) - Darfo Boario Terme, Italy, September 20
" Motocross of Nations (MoN) - Franciacorta, Italy, October 4
" International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) - Figueira da Foz, Portugal, October 12-17

Applications for the ISDE close at Monday, March 30, while applications for the MoN and TdN close at on May 25.
