World rally championship for 2008
French website Motards-Online reports that organisers of road bike rallies in France and Belgium have teamed up with the international controlling body of motorcycle sport (the FIM) to form a world championship as soon as next yearOpen to numerous classes, including sidecars and classic bikes, the events take in a mix of track and road over courses of up to 3000km. So far France, Italy and Belgium are on the proposed schedule.
