Women's MX dates released
Development series gets green lightMotorcycling Australia, together with Williams Event Management, has announced official dates for the 2008 Australian Women's Motocross Championship and the Motocross Development Series.
They will both be run over three rounds - including single rounds taking place in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales, with the best female and most promising Australian Junior Motocross talent set for action.
The series follows on from the inaugural 2007-run series, which proved to be a tremendous success.
The event dates and locations for 2008 are as follows:
- Round 1:
- Tivoli, Queensland - 9 March
- Round 2:
- Newry, Victoria - 25 May
- Round 3:
- Lakes, New South Wales - 22 June
The series will include the following classes of competition:
- Australian Women's Championship
- Under 19's Development
- Rookies 15 Years
- Junior 13 to 14 - 250 four-stroke
- Junior 13 to 14 - 125cc
- Junior 12 to 15 - 85cc / 150cc four-stroke
- Junior 9 to 11 - 85cc / 150cc (TBC)
Entry forms for the event will be available on-line from 14 January, and entries will close a month a later on 14 February.
