It's not everyday you get to ride pillion with a three-time World Superbike Champion. But everyone who visits the Australian Motorcycle Expo on the Gold Coast between February 17-19 will be entered into a competition to ride two-up with Troy Bayliss on his Ducati Superbike.
Pencilled in to appear at the QBE Stage at the Oz bike expo, the three-time World Superbike Champion is expected to conduct a brief talk, after which he will be meeting with fans on all three days of the event.
On the final day of the event, February 19, Bayliss will draw a winner to join him at the race track to hop on the back of his Ducati Superbike for a handful of priceless hot laps.
Bayliss retired from WSBK racing in 2008, the year he won his third title, and was happy to appear at the Australian Motorcycle Expo on the Gold Coast as a way of thanking Aussie fans.
He has been spruiking the 'Troy Bayliss Experience' in recent times, a track day session where riders can pay to ride with and get tips from Bayliss.
The tour visits racetracks across the country, and "offers fans a rare chance to spend time with the Gold Coast-based world champion, including the sought-after, white-knuckle pillion ride," reads the press statement.
For attendees of the Australian Motorcycle Expo (Gold Coast), winning the pillion ride is as simple as heading over to the entry point within the Expo, which is located next to the Troy Bayliss Experience 2-Up bike, which will be on display.
Tickets are available for pre-purchase at Motorcycleshow.com.au or at the gate.
