Who's up for Slide School?

Dirt track star Michael Kirkness will be holding a class on November 14, open to all types of dirt riders — including hipsters!

Multiple Australian dirt track champion and Troy Bayliss Classic winner Michael Kirkness will be holding a 'Slide School' in Brisbane on Saturday, November 14 at Mick Doohan Raceway.

To be held under the auspices of rider training organisation motoDNA, the dirt sliding class is open to all riders, including dirt track, motocross and supermoto competitors, trail riders, adventure riders, and even hipsters!

Cost is $150 for adults and $100 for juniors, with the class concentrating focussing on the following components:

  • Body position;
  • Bio mechanics;
  • Corner entry;
  • Corner exit;
  • Braking; and
  • Vision.

With Motorcycling Australia (MA)-accredited coaches on hand, there will be three 30-minute track sessions, three classroom theory sessions, coach demonstrations and video analysis.

Training for juniors is from 8:30am-midday, and for adults 1:00-4:00pm. An MA license is required for this event, with day license are available on the day for $25. No knobby tyres are allowed on machines over 85cc two-stroke and 150cc four-stroke.
