Whitaker romps home in Oz trials

The New Zealander has made it two national championships in a row by slaughtering Australia's best in the Barossa Valley
Ruthless Kiwi Jake Whitaker has again upstaged the locals, easily retaining his Australian Moto Trials Championship in the Barossa Valley (SA) on October 2-3.
Whitaker only dropped a meagre 11pts over the two days of competition, defeating second-placed Western Australian Neil Price by a whopping 39pts. Price’s Trials des Nations teammate Kyle Middleton was third in the 16-rider field.
The other classes were won by Jonathon Chellis (Open Junior), Connor Hogan (Junior 7-12), Lachlan Gibson (Youth), Rob Jones (Masters), Kristie McKinnon (Women), Amanda Cummins (Junior Women), Luscombe/Sparkes (Sidecar), Steve Johnson (Classic), Steve Holzhauser (Veteran), and Toby Coleman (Post Classic).
