We have lift off
September 10 has been pencilled in for the launch of the first of what is likely to be a series of factory-modified BMWs - the HP2Based on the R1200 GS, the machine is a stripped down and warmed up version of the popular rally model. Bimm enthuses: "Weighing only 175kg dry (24kg less than the R1200 GS) and featuring an increased power output of 105bhp, the HP2 is packed with innovations such as the world's first motorcycle spring/damper system running exclusively on air. Production volumes of the HP2 will remain relatively low, making this a truly exclusive motorcycle for enthusiasts who want a road-legal motorcycle with incredible off-road potential."
Australia can expect to see the machine later in the year at around $27,000.
