Ahead of the annual FIM Gala Ceremony, which this year will be held in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on December 2, the FIM – the governing body for top-tier motorcycle sport – has asked bike fans around the globe to vote for their champions of 2012, and possibly share in claiming some great prizes for their efforts.
Via the FIM’s online poll on Facebook, motorcycle sports enthusiasts can nominate their 2012 Rookie of the Year, 2012 Woman of the Year, and 2012 Personality of the Year, with voters able to choose from a list of 2012 World Champions spanning numerous motorcycle sporting disciplines.
Two Australians feature on the list of potential winners: Caleb Grothues (FIM 65cc Junior Motocross World Champion) and Chris Holder (FIM Speedway GP World Champion).
Anyone who takes part in the voting and registers their details automatically goes into the draw to one any of a range of prizes, including: a TAG Heuer Micro Timer watch (pictured); two MotoGP, Superbike or Endurance paddock passes; two World Motocross, World Supercross or Freestyle paddock passes; two X-Trial or Trial passes; two SuperEnduro or Enduro passes; two Speedway or Ice Speedway passes; a collection of 2012 FIM Endurance, X-Trial, Trial, SuperEnduro and Ice Speedway DVDs; a one-year subscription to the FIM Ride With Us magazine (five issues); an FIM gift bag (moleskin, with USB key and pens); and a collection of FIM pins.
