This one's been a slow burn, but a sure bet nonetheless. Victory Motorcycles was always going to receive some love from parent company Polaris Industries once the razzle dazzle and big spend of the Indian relaunch had come to fruition. And now it's happening, in the form of a liquid cooled engine(s) that are set to be unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan on November 18.
There's no spec sheet on the engine as yet, but if it's based on the liquid-cooled Project 156 mill that was used in Victory's attempt on the 2015 Pikes Peak Challenge (here), that was a 60-degree V-twin with a capacity of 1133cc (69ci).
Designer extraordinaire Roland Sands had a huge input into the Pikes Peak challenger, so the question is whether similar design hues will be used to unveil a sporty machine with the new engine. Or perhaps it could just be the new engine gleaming away on a plinth in Milan. We'll know all the answers in about a month.
