Polaris-owned Victory Motorcycles dipped its proverbial toe in the local market during the recent Ulysses Club AGM in Townsville, Queensland.
According to the blurb from the PR bunker: Almost 150 riders got to sample the Victory range first hand with test rides throughout the 5-day event.
"We know we have a phenomenal product and we were confident that Victory would be positively received in Australia," said local General Manager Peter Alexander. "However, we were quite simply blown away by the overwhelmingly positive response and huge amount of interest in Victory Motorcycles both during and after the Ulysses Club AGM.
"To see people trying to squeeze under the doors of our marquee a day before the show even started to get a closer look, it reinforced something we always knew - Victory Motorcycles really are something special."
The company says it will roll out a dealer network over the next few years, with the first located at the Carlton end of the Elizabeth Street Motorcycle precinct in Melbourne, Victoria.
Victory has been on sale in the USA for nearly a decade, but this is the first time it has tackled the local market.
It has also set up a local website (pictured) - see this link.
