Victory increases its arsenal

Cross Roads and Cross Country set to debut in Sydney

The V-twin touring market has just got bigger by two, with Victory Motorcycles announcing the addition of the Cross Roads and Cross Country to its line-up.

The pair are both powered by the American marque's 106-cubic-inch (1731cc) 'Freedom' V-twin engine, offering 92hp and 148Nm of torque -- most of it available from as low as 2500rpm -- through a six-speed true overdrive gearbox.

The Cross Country features a sleek, batwing-style front fairing and low screen, while at the rear a pair of colour-coded and integrated hard panniers offer a voluminous 80lt of storage space.

Blending contemporary lines with a healthy dose of traditional bagger style, the Cross Country also features a stepped 'king and queen'-style saddle, extra-long floorboards for both rider and pillion, and a 'silver skull on black' paint scheme. And with an AM/FM twin-speaker stereo (with MP3 jack) plus electronic cruise control, you can rest assured this bike's got the creature comforts covered.

The rear monoshock and inverted front fork deliver 103mm of suspension travel, and it has braided steel lines and a twin-disc front-end.

For those who like a slightly more traditional flavour, the Cross Roads may be the answer. The bike has a broad Lexan windshield and traditional bent-tube highway bars, bullet-style indicators, a solid maroon paint scheme, acres of chrome and alloy wheels complete the picture.

Both bikes will make their public debut at this year's Sydney Motorcycle Show.

The models will both be available in early 2010. For more information, visit your nearest Victory Motorcycles dealer, or tel (03) 9342 3888.
