Vespa GTS 150 Super 3V

Will join three other GTS models in the Australian line-up, and is just about visually identical to its larger capacity namesakes

Vespa Australia has announced the imminent on sale date of the GTAS 150 Super 3V scooter, and is said to “combine the compact and efficient three-valve engine of the Primavera range with the spacious chassis of the larger proportioned GTS range”.

The rigid all-steel chassis, unique to all Vespa models, continues with GTS 150. Visually, the scooter is almost identical to its larger capacity namesakes – the GTS 250, GTS 300 Super and GTS 300 Super Sport - and features graphics similar to those found on the Super Sport series. The large 12-inch wheels, standard on the GTS range, are retained along with the easy-to-read black analogue speedo. For pillions, there are fold-out footpegs and a chrome rear grab rail.

The new GTS comes with 220mm disc brakes fitted front and rear, and there are twin rear shocks. The sidestand includes an engine safety cut-out switch, while security features include Vespa key coded electronic engine immobiliser.

The GTS 150 Super 3V comes in a choice of three colours: Rosso Dragon (red), Monte Bianco (white) or Grigio Titanium (grey).

Price is $6690, plus on-road costs, and it will go on sale in September 2014.
