Round three of this year's Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals (Australian Motocross Championship) in Victoria on May 2 will now be held at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex in Broadford instead of McAdam Park in Barrabool.
According to Motorcycling Australia's communications officer Erin Lagoudakis, the round at McAdam Park will be rescheduled later in the year once a "wide range of matters in compliance and regulations" are finalised with the Surf Coast Shire, located near Geelong.
In September last year, it was announced that MA had joined forces with the Victorian State Government, the City of Greater Geelong and the Surf Coast Shire in acquiring the 300-acre McAdam Park complex.
However, the process is taking some time to work through, and MA felt "it was in the best interests of the both the championship and the venue that the round scheduled for… May 2 be moved to another venue and the round at McAdam Park be rescheduled".
