Rumours of Valentino Rossi making a switch to World Superbikes has been running wild lately, all of which haven't been helped along by messages the motorcycle superstar has been posting on his Twitter account.
After the excitement of the WSBK racing at Donington that saw BMW score its inaugural win in the category, Rossi tweeted that he loved the racing while called MotoGP races 'tedious'
"What a brawl in the Superbikes, all good but shame about the BMWs in the last corner."
He followed up with several other posts, including a swipe at MotoGP: "Unfortunately, our races have become much more tedious.”
He later posted "Moto3 is beautiful, Moto2 is scary, SBK is hilarious, even the races at the [Rossi] ranch are decided at the last corner," but realising he wasn’t painting MotoGP in a positive light (and possibly after a call from his manager) he then added "But, having said that, I want to race in MotoGP for another year. I just want a little more 'brawl' that's all."
Rossi remains upbeat about the upcoming Le Mans race however, telling the Italian media he expects to do well. "Starting from the base we now know a little better and [we're] trying to continue with the development one step at a time, so that Sunday could reach the best of our current potential.
"Le Mans is another place where the weather, especially this season, can be difficult but it is also the place where last year I did my best result with the Ducati. We'll see. We like to do a little better than in Portugal."
