Exhaust systems innovator Liugi Termignoni died this week in Italy, marking the end of a trailblazing career.
Termignoni opened his motorcycle mechanic’s shop in 1969, focusing on Ducati, Kawasaki and Honda machines.
The business expanded to include preparing race engines and by 1971 Termignoni had identified exhausts as a niche he could make a mark in.

The rest is history, with "Termi" exhausts used to help win 10 MotoGP championships, 16 WSBK titles, two Paris-Dakar rally wins and the FIM Cross-Country Rallies world title.
Termignoni retired from the company in 2015, with his daughter Anna taking over the reins of the Italian-based company.
