The race-ready 2022 Yamaha WR250F has received a number of updates that further its claim as one of the best enduro models in its class.
Inspired by the successful Yamaha YZ250F motocross machine, the latest 2022 WR250F has been enhanced thanks to a number of changes to the engine, chassis and equipment.
Headlining the upgrades is improved engine performance courtesy of an improved air intake, wider intake port, redesigned exhaust camshaft and optimised ECU settings. Yamaha claims a stronger mid-to-high range power output as a result.

The engine balancer weight has also been adjusted to reduce vibration, while the ECU has been improved with two new fuel maps and a new gearbox cam shift design results in smoother changes.
Elsewhere, the new WR250F features an updated aluminium bilateral beam frame that is designed to match the more-powerful engine and is tuned for off-road use, and there is also an improved front brake set-up for better control, as well as revised suspension settings.
Also featured is the new Dunlop Geomax E91 tyres, a new multi-function meter, new YZ-spec handlebar, a new exhaust heat guard and a stronger muffler bracket.
The 2022 Yamaha WR250F otherwise features the same popular package from 2021 including a powerful four-stroke motor, reversed fuel tank and airbox design, fuel map switch, capable KYB suspension and a free off-road kit for competition use.
Set to arrive in Australian dealerships from December 2021, the new WR250F is priced at $14,899 ride away in the Team Yamaha Blue colour scheme. Yamaha also announced the 2022 WR450F remains unchanged except for new graphics and it will be priced at $16,499 ride away.
