The updated Tiger 900 adventure touring range is faster, more comfortable, more economical, and more high-tech according to Triumph.
Set to land in Australian dealers later this year, the range will feature three variants – the entry level Tiger 900 GT (from $21,850 ride away), the Tiger 900 GT Pro (from $24,790 ride away), and the off-road focused Tiger 900 Rally Pro (from $25,950 ride away).
All three variants are powered by Triumph’s signature three-cylinder engine, however the powerplant has been enhanced for 2024 with revised components, a 13 per cent power increase, and a higher peak torque of 90Nm. Triumph also says that the new engine offers greater tractability lower in the rev range and also offers nine per cent better fuel economy.
Elsewhere, the brakes have been updated, and a new emergency deceleration warning system activates the hazards lights when braking rapidly.
In the tech department, there is a new 7-inch TFT display with new graphics, a new menu system, and a new USB-C cockpit charger. Smartphone connectivity is also now standard. Features carried over from the previous versions include LED lighting, multiple ride modes, illuminated switches, and optimised cornering ABS and traction control with IMU. The Pro models also feature a quickshifter, tyre pressure monitoring, and heated grips and seats as standard.
All three variants feature Brembo Stylema Monobloc brakes, but suspension differs between each model. The GT features manually adjustable Marzocchi gear, while the GT Pro has an electronically adjustable Marzocchi setup. The Rally Pro is optimised for off-road use with a fully-adjustable Showa suspension and increased travel.
The frame itself is retained from the previous versions, but a new adjustable and flatter rider seat offers more room, while a new damped handlebar mounting system is designed for a more comfortable ride. There is also new bodywork and new paint schemes.
Triumph is currently taking orders for the new Tiger 900 range at its dealerships, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2023.
