Updated 1400GTR takes functionality to a new level

Including Kawasaki's first traction control system

The latest incarnation of Kawasaki's 1400GTR sportstourer is now on sale in Australia, throwing down a fresh assault on the likes of the BMW K 1300 GT, Yamaha FJR1300 and Honda ST1300.

The 2010 1400GTR features updates like Kawasaki's first traction control system (KTRC), heated hand grips, a taller and wider windscreen, and new bodywork designed to dissipate hot air even quicker.

There's also ABS, and a 'fuel assistance' mode designed to make the bike even more frugal for long-distance riding.

The new model continues with Kawasaki's activation start system (KIPASS), which allows remote activation of the bike's main switch and steering lock.

The bike also has tyre pressure sensors as standard - a very practical safety feature.

Colours are Candy Neptune Blue or Metallic Magnesium Gray, and the retail is $24,999 -- $1000 more than the superseded 1400GTR.

Contact your local Kawasaki dealer for more information.
