The UK may be going through its coldest snap in 30 years, but a poll by motorcycle weekly MCN has revealed a third of its motorcycle riders are made of fairly hearty stock - or to others they are simply lunatics.
In the poll, 35 percent of respondents said they are still riding to work in the grim conditions, which is probably an excellent choice when yesterday's data revealed a whopping 1196 traffic jams on all UK roads.
Most of the riders are continuing to commute on their normal steeds, with a few opting for 'nails' to see out the cold front - and to no doubt keep all the salt and grit away from their A bikes.
