TVR buys Benelli
The troubled Italian firm of Benelli has been bought by UK-based specialist car maker TVRIn the short term, TVR expects to restart production of the triple-cylinder line-up, but may eventually move production to Blackpool in England.
Russian-born TVR owner Nikolai Smolenski made it known some time ago that he was interested in getting into motorcycles, and has evidently decided it's easier to buy an existing brand than start one from scratch.
Benelli's next model is expected to be a GS/Multistrada style machine using the existing engine.
