Triumph has launched the new Tiger Sport 800, an all-new model designed to mix sports performance with long-distance touring capabilities. Acting as a bigger brother to the popular Tiger Sport 660, the new 800 version is set to arrive on dealer floors early 2025.
At the heart of the new Tiger Sport 800 is a 115hp engine, which delivers 90 per cent of its torque through the mid-range. The engine’s broad torque curve should ensure smooth acceleration and power, while the six-speed gearbox comes with quickshift.
The Tiger Sport 800’s chassis features top-shelf Showa suspension, including adjustable 41mm upside-down forks and a Showa Monoshock with a remote preload adjuster.
The Tiger Sport 800 boasts an upright riding position, an ergonomically designed seat, and integrated wind deflectors for improved wind protection. Its accessible 835mm seat height and slim stand-over width should provide riders with confidence during low-speed maneuvers, while a generously sized 18.6L fuel tank ensures the bike is ready for long touring rides.
Technology on the Tiger Sport 800 includes three riding modes - Sport, Road, and Rain - allowing riders to tailor the bike’s performance to different conditions. Optimised Cornering ABS and traction control, along with cruise control, ensure a safe and enjoyable ride, while the My Triumph Connectivity System offers turn-by-turn navigation, phone, and music integration via Bluetooth.
Triumph also offersover 40 accessories, including an Akrapovic slip-on silencer and a range of luggage options. The bike also boasts lower service costs, with class-leading intervals of 16,000km.
Priced from $19,990, the Tiger Sport 800 will be available in Australian dealerships from the first quarter of 2025 in four colours, including the premium Cosmic Yellow and Caspian Blue.
