Triumph has bypassed the traditional show season to unveil its latest machine – the all-new Speed Twin, which will join its Modern Classics line-up in 2019.
The roadster is powered by an updated 1200cc HP Bonneville twin engine with a ‘Thruxton’ tune, and has power and torque peaks of 97hp (at 6750rpm) and 112Nm (at 4950rpm) respectively.

Engine updates include a new magnesium cam cover and revised clutch assembly, which help to deliver a 2.5kg weight saving over the Thruxton mill.
The Speed Twin is also 10kg lighter overall than the Thruxton at 196kg (dry). Major features on the Speed Twin include Brembo brakes with twin discs, ABS, switchable traction control, three riding modes, LED lighting, twin clocks, a USB charging socket, immobiliser and accessory tyre pressure monitoring.
Styling wise, the Speed Twin has seven-spoke aluminium cast wheels (fitted with Pirelli Rosso Corsa 3 tyres), brushed aluminium highlights, bar end mirrors, and twin, black upswept sports silencers. There are also over 80 dedicated accessories.
The seat height is 807mm, while the fuel tank capacity is 14.5 litres. The new Speed Twin comes in three liveries: Silver Ice and Storm Grey, with hand-painted Graphite coach line and white stripe; Korosi Red and Storm Grey, with hand-painted Graphite coach line and white stripe; and Jet Black.
