Australia will get its first ‘up close and personal’ look at the new Triumph Trophy at next month’s Australian Motorcycle Expo, due to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre over November 23-25.
Only recently unveiled in Europe, the much-anticipated model will fill a gap in Triumph’s existing model line-up, and is the third all-new model to leave the British marque’s production line over the last 18 months (the others being the Tiger 800 and Tiger Explorer).
The new Trophy is powered by a 1215cc in-line three-cylinder engine that produces claimed maximum outputs of 135hp and 120Nm, with the grunt dished out via a maintenance-free shaft final drive. The bike comes bristling with advanced electronics, including a ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, ABS, cruise control, electronic suspension adjustment, an electric screen, a tyre-pressure monitoring system and an integrated audio system with Bluetooth functionality.
The bike, which will retail in Australia for $25,990 (plus on-roads), can be found at the Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne on stand #320.
