Two popular Triumph models are levelling up for 2026, with both the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 receiving head-to-toe refinements. But only LAMS-approved variants are expected to land in Australia.
The 660cc triple-cylinder engine that powers both bikes has been upgraded, with Triumph claiming sharper throttle response and a slight increase in power and torque. According to the company, the key to these improvements is a move from a single throttle body to three individual 44mm throttle bodies, along with a larger airbox, re-engineered cylinder heads, an updated cooling system, and a revised tune.
A new exhaust system features a 3-into-1 header design, a revised catalyst, and an underslung silencer, while the six-speed gearbox has also been updated.

The Trident 660 gains muscular new bodywork and a new Showa rear suspension unit for improved adjustability. The Tiger Sport 660 also gets a fresh look, plus a larger 18.6L fuel tank to enhance its touring capability. Both models arrive with new colour schemes.
Elsewhere, the Trident and Tiger Sport continue with the same theme that earned them the 2021 and 2022 bikesales Learner Bike of the Year awards respectively.
Standard equipment includes ride-by-wire, multiple ride modes, cornering ABS and traction control, quickshifter compatibility, cruise control, and smartphone connectivity.

Triumph says both models will be available only in LAMS guise, with no full-power versions planned for Australia. This is presumably due to the recent launch of the Tiger Sport 800 and the impending arrival of the Trident 800.
Pricing starts at $14,890 ride-away for the Trident 660, and $16,270 ride-away for the Tiger Sport 660. Both models are set to arrive in March 2026.
