Triumph has announced two new top-of-the-range additions to its Tiger 800 adventure bike portfolio -- the XRT (as in Touring) and XCA (Adventure), both of which will be available in Australia from June 2015.
The XRT takes the existing XRx (review here) and includes a standard fit 'comfort' package that incorporates heated rider and passenger seats and heated grips as standard. Triumph has also added an uprated 650W alternator, fog lamps, a third auxiliary 12-volt power socket, aluminium panniers ready for the fitment of the accessory Expedition panniers, a GPS mounting kit, tyre pressure monitoring system, a CNC-machined rider foot rests reservoir and aluminium radiator guard.
The XRT will retail for $17,890 in orange or white, $1300 more than the XRx.
The XCA follows the same path, with Triumph taking the wire-wheeled XCx (review here) and adding the same goodies as the XRT. Price is $19,390 and the XRA will come in Matt Khaki Green and Crystal white. The XCx retails for $17,690.
Both the XRT and XCA have the same chassis and engine spec as their Tiger 800 siblings, and come with an unlimited mileage, two-year factory warranty.
