Triumph continues Speed Triple tease

The guerilla marketing campaign has continued, and we’ll finally know the full details on February 5, 2018

Triumph has again teased its updated Speed Triple with a two-minute video featuring four-time WorldSBK champion Carl Fogarty and two-time Isle of Man TT winner Gary Johnson.

It’s difficult to garner too much technical information from the ‘hooligan’ shootout, but the updated Speed Triple’s profile doesn’t appear too different from the current model.

Of course, the electronics will go to another level in the 2018 Speed Triple – ride-by-wire, ABS, multiple riding modes, ABS and the like – and there will be a full-colour TFT screen and Brembo brakes.

At this stage it’s unclear how many new Speed Triples we’ll be seeing, but it could be similar to the new Street Triple line-up with a top-spec RS (complete with a powershifter as standard, we hope), an R and maybe a base model S.

Full details will be revealed on Monday, February 5.
