Triumph has teased a new higher-spec Speed Triple on its social media channels. Dubbed the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR, the prototype model appears to have a bikini-style fairing and round headlight, indicating a modern-retro flavour.
The British marque recently released the range-topping Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, which upped the capacity from its predecessor, resulting in improved power figures of 177hp and 125Nm. The RS is also complete with performance-tuned Ohlins suspension, Metzeler Racetec RR tyres and Brembo Stylema brakes.

A new RR version would likely add even more bling and high-end equipment, while its body work suggests it will follow a modern-retro theme like the MV Agusta Superveloce 800.
While there is no further information, bikesales understands the prototype is very close to the production version, and it will likely appear on dealer floors in the first quarter of 2022. There will almost certainly be an increase in pricing over the RS model, which checks in at $25,600 (plus on-road costs).
Given the teaser, it is likely we won’t have to wait long to see finished Triumph Speed Triple RR in full, so stay tuned for more information.
