Triumph Street Triple 765 RS: 2023 bikesales Bike of the Year Highly Commended

The Triumph Street Triple 765 RS is Highly Commended in the 2023 bikesales Bike of the Year awards, proudly presented by Youi Insurance.

Offering a perfect blend of British elegance, style, and exciting performance, the updated Street Triple impressed as an excellent value-for-money proposition.

It is powered by Triumph’s signature liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine – 765cc in this guise and producing around 128hp (95.6kW) and 80Nm.

The bikesales Bike of the Year judges were smitten with the new Street Triple, as it combined practical real-world performance with emotive style and substance, and all for an affordable price tag of $20,590 ride away.

“On its own accord, the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS is a great motorcycle,” said bikesales Editor, Dylan Ruddy. “It is fast, agile, and high-tech, plus it looks and sounds as good as any middleweight roadster on the market.

“But when you consider that it costs less than $21k, then it is hard to look past as a premium commuter and weekend track slayer.”

Triumph has used its Moto2 race program as inspiration for the new Street Triple range, which includes the standard R version and the flagship Moto2 edition alongside this RS version.

But the RS offers arguably the best value of the three, with its high-spec brakes and suspension, a full suite of electronics, and of course the brilliant triple engine that results in a package truly worthy of a bikesales Highly Commended honour.
