Triumph Scrambler, Street Twin, Bonneville recalled

A rubbing wiring loom can lead to a loss of electrical power on some of Triumph's most popular models

A clutch cable rubbing on the wiring harness has forced Triumph Australia to recall its Scrambler, Street Twin and Bonneville models.

The recall affects bikes built from 2016 to today and covers the Street Scrambler, Street Twin, Street Twin A2 Licence Version, Street Cup, Bonneville T100, T100 Black, Bonneville T120 and T120 Black.

Triumph Scramblers sold from 2016 to now are subject to a recall to replace the head-stock tidy

The recall notice states if the condition isn’t fixed it “may lead to a loss of electrical power to various electrical circuits … as a consequence, headlight or indicator lighting may malfunction or engine power could be lost without warning, increasing the risk of a crash”.

Owners are urged to book an appointment with a Triumph dealer as soon as possible to have the issue fixed by having the original head-stock tidy replaced with a new version, free of charge.
