Triumph launches Thunderbird microsite

Even place an order if you want

Triumph has launched a dedicated internet site for its new Thunderbird cruiser, which goes on sale in Australia around October this year.

Potential Thunderbird buyers can click here to find out more about the model, including technical features and information on the specially developed parts and accessories.

Users can register to automatically receive the latest site updates, and there is even a facility for pre-ordering a Thunderbird online.

Powering the all-new model is the world's largest production parallel twin, 1597c, with a bore and stroke of 103.8mm x 94.3mm.

The belt-driven bike produces 146Nm of torque and over 80hp as standard but, if that isn't enough, Triumph's accessories division has developed a 1700cc big-bore kit which will produce a significant increase in both power and torque.

The thunderbird weighs in at 308kg, and it comes with ABS.

Volume production commences in May.
