Triumph has just launched it’s all-new TF 450-E and TF 250-E enduro models in Australia for 2026, but the British firm is refusing to rule out other engine capacities, with a 350cc model the obvious candidate.
Scott Lanzi, Off-Road Product Lead at Triumph, told Australian media via video call that the company is “always thinking about markets and capacities”, but he explained that he’ll let the market dictate plans for any new models.
“Never say never,” Lanzi replied when questioned about new capacities. “But the honest answer, as I sit here right now, is I’m not sure.
“I’m not sure we need another capacity. I’m going to let these bikes (450 and 250) settle into the market for a while and see what sort of feel we get.”
The 350cc enduro segment is popular, with KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS, and Beta all offering examples. Sherco also has a mid-capacity option with its 300 SEF. And Lanzi and Triumph recognise this.
“If you look at global sales volume of 350cc enduro in the US and Europe, it’s certainly a big space,” Lanzi said. “But you can go two ways, right? You can do what some brands have done, like KTM, which has gone 250cc up.
“And then you’ve got Redmoto Honda in Italy trying to go 250cc up just on the barrel, or 450cc down to 400cc. So, there’s lots of combinations out there. It’s just trying to figure out whether you need it or not.”
But while Lanzi admitted that “somewhere in the mid capacity makes sense” from a customer perspective, he reiterated that Triumph's current attention is on the 450 and 250 models.
"So yeah, never say never, but I think right now the focus is definitely on these two."
