Triumph has revealed an all-new Speed Triple 1200 RS for 2021, with a larger-capacity engine providing more power and more torque than the roadster's predecessor.
Set to arrive in Australian dealers in March, the new 2021 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS will check in at $25,600 (plus on-roads). The complete redesign of the popular roadster was inspired by Triumph’s Moto2 race engine program.

The streetfighter-style machine is powered by an all-new 1160cc triple-cylinder engine that punches out 177hp at 10,750rpm and 125Nm of torque at 9000rpm. Additionally, the new power plant is said to be higher-revving and comes with a new free-breathing intake and exhaust, which Triumph claims greatly improves the sound of the bike.
Triumph also claims the bike to be the most agile, precise and dynamic handling Speed Triple ever, thanks to a wet weight of just 198kg and a mass centralised chassis. The bike also features track-specific equipment including performance-tuned adjustable Ohlins suspension, Metzeler Racetec RR tyres and Brembo Stylema brakes.
A full suite of electronic rider aids helps bring the new Speed Triple 1200 RS up to date in the technology department, with cornering ABS, cornering traction control, wheelie control, cruise control, five ride modes, an up-and-down quick shifter and a new 5-inch TFT display.
The bike also features distinctive LED lighting, keyless ignition and the My Triumph connectivity system fitted as standard. There is also a range of accessories and options available for customers to further enhance their machine.
The Triumph boffins have also worked hard to give the new Speed Triple 1200 RS a striking look with an all-new muscular design with sharper and cleaner lines and a new dynamic headlinge and tail-light design.
Two colour schemes will be available for the new 2021 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS: Sapphire Black and Matte Sliver Ice.
Arriving in March, the new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS comes with a $25,600 (plus ORC) price tag, making it super competitive against other machines in the category.
