Triumph continues Scrambler 1200 tease
A second video has been released ahead of the full reveal on October 24Triumph’s second “exclusive insight” into its all-new Scrambler 1200 has been released, and is as follows:
The 25-second video doesn’t add too much to what we already know, save for the “proper twin pipe scrambler silhouette”.
The latest spiel then continues: “A stunning blend of 21st century custom style, and exceptional finish and details all combine with class-leading specification, rider-focused equipment, and state-of-the-art technology to introduce the first of a beautiful new generation.”
The video highlights the aluminium bash plate, and we already know the Scrambler 1200 has handguards, twin discs and beefy forks. The engine will almost certainly be the High Torque version of the company's 270-degree parallel twin -- but probably tuned to produce maximum torque at a lower rpm threshold than the roadbikes.
Full details on the Scrambler 1200 will be made public on October 24 and, based on historic Triumph lead times for Australia, we’ll hopefully be riding the machine sometime in the first quarter of 2019.
