Triumph Motorcycles has pledged its ongoing support of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, with the British brand signing on as the main partner and supporter of the charity ride for another five years.
Established in 2012 by Mark Hawwa, the concept has seen countless thousands of ‘dapper’ riders take to their classic and custom bikes around the world, while raising vital funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.

Exponential growth
From humble beginnings in Sydney, Australia, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride grew to encompass rides in 104 countries in 2019 and the participation of 116,000 people, raising US$6m (A$8.25m) in the process.
The COVID-19 pandemic saw the event pivot to the DGR ‘Ride Solo Together’ concept in 2020 and 2021, allowing participants to take part in even more countries and thousands of locations, with riders connected through social media.
Triumph initially through its support behind the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride back in 2014, the company’s support serving to amplify the DGR concept and help drive its meteoric growth.
In addition to utilising Triumph’s global marketing team and communications channels, the company has provided bikes from its Modern Classics range as prizes to promote and reward fundraising.
Natural fit
“Triumph is the only motorcycle manufacturer that I felt perfectly fit The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride,” said Hawwa.
“Today, eight years later, as we announce the five-year continuation of this partnership, I’m even more excited than I was in 2014 because, with the next five years, I know that we can do even more together with the goal of raising funds and awareness for men’s health.”
Triumph’s Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Stroud, said the company was thrilled to offer its ongoing support.
“We are proud to have been the main partner for the past eight years [of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride] and honoured to have been able to play a part in helping grow such a positive and impactful force for good,” he said.
“The renewal of our partnership with The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was a natural decision to take, based not only on the success and growth of participation that has raised Triumph’s profile, but also because we share that passion and are committed to supporting Mark, his team and the DGR community worldwide in their mission to reach even higher.”
