Triumph announces Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition is like a good martini – shaken, not stirred

A new limited-edition Triumph Scrambler 1200 has been announced to celebrate the release of the latest 007 film, No Time To Die.

The Scrambler Bond Edition 1200 is based on the top-spec Scrambler 1200 XE and includes state-of-the-art technology plus unique details and finishes. It will be limited to just 250 units worldwide.

Inspired by the modified Scrambler 1200 used in the upcoming film, the Bond Edition Scrambler 1200 has a unique billet riser clamp, with laser-etched individual edition numbering. The bike will be presented with a special Bond Handover Pack that includes a numbered certificate of authenticity, hand-signed by Triumph CEO, Nick Bloor.

The bike features unique styling which includes premium 007 branding, a Sapphire Black paint scheme and blacked-out finishes. The TFT dash also includes a Bond start-up screen.

Other premium features include a high-level front mudguard with a black anodised finish, fog lights with black anodised shrouds, machined front-brake reservoir, black rear-wheel adjusters, stainless-steel headlight grill and Arrow silencer with carbon-fibre end caps.

All of these features are in addition to the standard Scrambler 1200 XE package. Powered by a 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine, the Scrambler 1200 also features a fully-adjustable Showa 47mm fork with 250mm travel, and fully-adjustable Ohlins rear shocks with 250mm travel. The bike also has a comprehensive electronics package, six ride modes, TFT instruments and plenty of ride-enhancing features.

The price of the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition is believed to be $27,100AUD (+ORC). The Scrambler 1200 XE is priced at $23,990 ride away.

The release of the new Bond film was delayed due to COVID-19

No Time to Die is the 25th instalment in the 007 film franchise, which began in 1962 with Dr. No. The new film, which stars Daniel Craig for a fifth and final time, was originally scheduled for release in April 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic however, it has been delayed until November 12, 2020.
