A new high-spec Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR will offer riders more track capability and unique neo-retro style, thanks to a striking new fairing and headlight.
While the new bike retains the same powerful triple-cylinder engine from the new Speed Triple RS, the RR version includes upgraded equipment that raises the performance stakes and makes it friendlier for track use.
As mentioned, the most obvious upgrade is the unique cockpit fairing design which offers both style and function. A classic round headlight replaces the iconic bug-eye lamps of the RS version, and gives the new machine a familiar look. The RR also gets carbon-fibre detailing and two new colour schemes with rich, high-quality candy paint.

The other big change for the RR version is in the ergonomics, which have been significantly tweaked to offer a more aggressive ride position that lends itself to track use. The bike also swaps in a set of clip-on handlebars, further adding the bikes attacking nature.
Elsewhere, the new Speed Triple RR gets all-new Ohilins Smart EC 2.0 electronically adjustable semi-active suspension, and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres. These two additions complement the lightweight chassis, Brembo Stylema brakes and full electronic suite carried over from the RS model.
Speaking of electronics, the bike features the same full-colour TFT display and connectivity of the RS model, as well as five rider modes (including a dedicated track mode), cornering ABS, cornering traction control, front wheel lift control and a quickshifter. The bike is also equipped with keyless ignition, illuminated switches and cruise control.
The new Triumph Speed Triple RR joins the overhauled RS version that was revealed earlier this year with a completely redesigned engine that increased power to 180PS and 125Nm.
While the 2021 Triumph Speed Triple RS checks in at $27,700 ride away, the all-new RR version will raise the price to $32,490 ride away for the Crystal White/Storm Grey colourway, or $32,890 ride away for the Red Hopper/Storm Grey variant.
Triumph Australia expects the new model will be available in Australian dealerships from December.
