Spanish manufacturer Torrot is headed to Australia and New Zealand, with local company Urban Moto Imports being appointed the brand’s exclusive distributor in the region.
Torrot’s rich history dates back to 1948 and the brand currently specialises in electric off-road motorcycles for younger riders aged 3-11.

Urban Moto Imports (UMI) will import and distribute Torrot products in Australia and New Zealand, however it has a previous link to Torrot through another Spanish brand, GasGas.
UMI was once the Australian and New Zealand distributor for GasGas when it was owned by Torrot. GasGas is now owned by KTM.
"We see this as a key opportunity to be able to bring such a wide range of high-quality kids electric motorcycles to Australia & New Zealand,” said UMI CEO, Joseph Elasmar. “We see this as a critical step in ensuring that customers have access to high-specification and European made electric motorcycles, at an accessible price point across a wide range of riding disciplines.”
There are six bikes in the Torrot range, with two different sizes. Both the One Series and the Two Series each feature motocross, trials and supermotard models.

The One Series bikes are aimed at ages 3-7, while the Two Series bikes are slightly bigger with a target age of 6-11. The bikes come with removable lithium-ion batteries and an optional in-car charger.
Also featured is EBR suspension, a chromoly steel chassis, hydraulic disc brakes, a programmable controller and motor, aluminium rims, and Michelin tyres.
Another unique feature of the Torrot models is the Parental Control system, which allows parents to wirelessly control and configure the motorcycle via a smartphone application.
