A swag of great new models reached Australia over the past year, and here are the five reviews that grabbed the most interest…Honda CB750 Hornet
Honda revived its enduring Hornet moniker in fine style in 2023, with its all-new Honda CB750 Hornet impressing bikesales journalist Kaz Anderson at the model’s national press launch, and then the entire bikesales crew at the 2023 bikesales Bike of the Year shootout, where it went on to claim the title of Highly Commended. With dynamic and agile handling, a healthy level of tech, and a sweet ride-away price, there’s a whole lot to like about Big Red’s Hornet revival.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor
Here at bikesales, there has always been a very healthy level of interest in Royal Enfield, and especially its 650cc parallel-twin platform. Its latest model, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, is no exception, with a heap of people reading our first review of the bike, stemming from the model’s global launch at the start of 2023, in Royal Enfield’s homeland of India.
Harley-Davidson Breakout
Did you know that the Harley-Davidson Breakout is actually the most searched-for model across all of bikesales’ thousands of classifieds listing? First arriving in Australia in 2012, the Harley-Davidson Breakout seems to embody the best of the Motor Co for many, and the latest iteration, which we rode back in March, is still attracting a heap of interest. CFMOTO 450SR
Like Royal Enfield, there’s always a flurry of interest around anything new from Chinese brand, CFMOTO. Back in the middle of 2023 we first sampled the brand’s new CFMOTO 450SR, a LAMS-approved sportsbike. And while the wet and wintry conditions were not perhaps conducive to biking bliss, the keenly priced model certainly hits the mark for newer riders after a sporty and nicely equipped ride.
Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello
We don’t see an all-new model from Moto Guzzi too often, so there was plenty of fanfare when the Italian brand launched the new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello in mid-2023. Bikesales journalist Cam Donald got along to the national media launch and liked what he saw, the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S going on to become a 2023 bikesales Bike of the Year finalist and also being crowned 2023 bikesales Bike of the Year People’s Choice. Representing a heady mix of comfort, performance and technology, the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is set to continue the Latin love affair for many Guzzisti around the globe.
