Suzuki's revered GSX-R750 burst onto the scene in 1985, with Superbike legend Rob Phillis giving the bike its international race debut in the Adelaide 3-hour production bike race.
The GSX-R750 was basically a street-legal and detuned version of the works Suzuki GS1000R racer, and a damn good one at that.
Since then the Gixxer gone through a number of incarnations, the last major one in 2006 when power was increased to 150hp and weight trimmed to 163kg.
The 2009 version of the GSX-R750 is still very much the same machine, but next year there will be three new colours: matt black, silver/blue or white. Price is $16,490 (plus on-road costs).
