The initiators of the MAIDS study, the most comprehensive and scientific examination of motorcycle crashes has created a novel way of engaging with riders about rider safety.
It's a cartoon series featuring a risk taking, but supremely lucky rider dubbed "Lucky 13." It's been devised by ACEM, the European body representing motorcycle manufacturers and national motorcycle organisations.
The 13-part series is based on the Infrastructure Guidelines Handbook released by ACEM in 2006, which found that close to 90 percent of all motorcycle crashes involved or were exacerbated by road infrastructure.
Lucky 13 has joined Motorcycling Australia (MA) and you can follow his adventures by clicking here.
