The Island is the best
Oz round wins superbike awardThe 2007 Yamaha Phillip Island Superbike World Championship round has been voted the best in the World.
The Superbike World Championship was contested over 13 rounds at some of the most prestigious international racing venues and Phillip Island outscored them all. Each round is assessed by the international organisers as well as riders, teams and media.
The Yamaha Phillip Island round was held in March this year before the significant upgrade to the facilities which were completed in time for the GMC Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in October.
In making the announcement Paolo Flammini, FGSport CEO, declared: "I express my warmest and most sincere congratulations to the circuit management and his staff and wish them the very best for the future seasons."
