The Ice Run cometh

We’ve all done some dopey things on motorcycles but this one has gotta be up there with the most stupid…

Take four nutcases from Darwin on two vintage Russian-made Ural outfits and some ice. Lots of ice. In fact a whole frozen lake, Lake Baikal, and two frozen rivers in Siberia at the end of winter. Throw in a compass, a pair of thongs and a set of crocodile oven mitts, and you have yourself The Adventurists' 2015 Pioneers Ice Run.

Fourteen teams from around the world, including our four adventurers from Darwin, embarked on the epic 2000km journey earlier this year to raise money for charities including Cool Earth which is trying to save rainforests from destruction.

Check out the video below of the 'Bandits of Ice' and see them battle the cold, the ice, and the temperamental Urals for two weeks of mayhem in Siberia.

We apologise for the colourful language in the video but under the circumstances, we're sure you'll understand.
