Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), the company behind the curious three-wheeled Can-Am Spyder, has launched a major publicity assault on the Australian motorcycle market, with what it calls the "Spyder Experience" demo tour.
The company plans to entice Australian motorists to take up a test ride of its growing Spyder range, which includes the RS Roadster and the new RT Roadster Tourer model. It hopes to achieve this via the "Spyder Experience" demo tour which comprises demonstration rides and free food -- a recipe for success that's been proven throughout the ages.
Beginning in Perth on March 19 and making its way across the nation, the Spyder Experience "offers participants a two-hour introduction to the vehicle which includes rider training and technical overview, prior to putting the Spyder roadster through its paces on the open road and feeling first hand the thrill of its unique riding sensation," explains the company.
Afterwards participants are offered tea and coffee in the Spyder hospitality truck and "participants can discuss their experience with like minded adventurers, dealers and experts from the Can-Am team," says Canadian-based BRP.
During the demo rides, motorists will be shown Spyder's various features including the vehicle stability system, reverse gear, the dynamic power steering, and what it calls "magnetic cornering".
