The control layout is conventional, which means regular ATV users won’t need hours of familiarisation. Buttons for four-wheel drive and diff lock engagement are in the right-hand switchblock, and the winch control is on the left-hand side of the handlebars.
Wheel brakes are controlled individually. The right brake lever activates the front brakes while the left lever, and the brake pedal, activate the rear brakes. A solid park-brake lever is part of the front brake assembly. The machine has six-ply Innova Xtreme tyres on 14-inch alloy wheels.
Two lockable boxes in the front cowl give you somewhere to secure small items you don’t want to lose. The 500 AR IRS also has a large steel rack up front to which awkward loads can be secured.
Price is $9995.
