Four star-studded teams have been named ahead of this weekend’s Moto Expo Melbourne (November 23-25) where they’ll go head-to-head in the Bayllistic Scramble Teams Challenge feature race.
With the likes of three-time world champ Jason Crump, nine-time Aussie dirt track champ Paul Caslick, double Finke Desert Race winner Ben ‘Grabbo’ Grabham and Aussie dirt track legend Mick Kirkness each captaining teams of hugely talented and gutsy riders, there’ll be far more than just the $5000 prize pool at stake.
Grabham has been drafted in a replacement for three-time WorldSBK champ Troy Bayliss who was injured recently in a mountain bike crash which ruled him out of contention, though the evergreen rider said he was delighted with outcome.
“[Grabham’s] usual race track is a desert or off-road circuit a long way out from any major city, so to have him racing in the heart of Melbourne is a very rare treat,” Bayliss said.

Grabbo’s team will consist of dirt track stars Jessie Davies, Brad Burns and Brendan McCowat, while Crump has opted for some big names of road racing with the three Waters brothers of Josh, Brodie and Nick.
Kirkness has a swag of talent in his line-up of Max Whale, Chris Seaton and Kayden Downing while Caslick’s team of Luke Richards, Marty McNamara and Tyra Lynch will be doing their bit to take the spoils.
Practice kicks off at 10.30am on Sunday before racing gets underway at 12.30pm.
